Between the prayer, the declamation and the song, Kaloune creates a new Reunionese speech, approaching the themes like the woman, the history and the spirituality. Accompanied by a “Mbira”, the instrument of sacred transition ceremonies in Zimbabwe, she sweeps the vast field of Creole identity. Renewing with its African origins, she is part of an experimental journey, sublimating the presence of the invisible. Rocked by traditional songs, she loves above all to say, write and tell in her own language, her own poetry.
