Abdramane Kamaté
As Director General of MASA, Abdramane Kamaté brings extensive international experience in the management and development of cultural institutions. He previously headed the French Institutes in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Chad, and Indonesia before coordinating the ACP-EU Culture program for West Africa, which focuses on strengthening the sub-region’s cultural and creative industries. A recognized expert and international trainer, he has contributed to the design, support, and evaluation of numerous artistic and cultural programs across Africa. He also coordinates a project to strengthen the music and audiovisual sectors within the WAEMU regional market and serves as a UNESCO expert advising on the development of legislation for Côte d’Ivoire’s music industry. Driven by an ambitious vision for the professionalization of the African cultural sector, he also launched MASA LAB: an innovative incubation center for the performing arts designed as a space for training, experimentation, and support for the next generation of creators and cultural entrepreneurs.
